Does Virgin Voyages have a drink package?

In this blog post, we’ll give you all the details on Virgin Voyages’ drink packages, including what’s included and how much it costs. So read on for everything you need to know about drinks onboard Virgin Voyages.

Well, no. But they do offer something even better! Instead of pre-paid packages and limited choices, Virgin Voyages offers their Sailors a “Bar Tab” to use onboard. Read on to find out why there isn’t an all-inclusive drinks package onboard and what drinks are included.

Virgin did a lot of research with Sailors to understand what was important to them in terms of inclusions, to create high quality, high value & experience. Most people are looking for an excellent, yet reasonably priced selection of cocktails, wine, and beer. They don’t want to pay inflated prices designed to support all-inclusive alcohol or unlimited package options. People don’t want their money going towards subsidising the drinking habits of others through higher price tags associated with all-encompassing packages or alcohol options either. Instead, they are looking for quality drinks at sensible rates without feeling a “sticker shock” every time they buy one. We’ve all seen those people at the bar in an all-inclusive hotel getting drunk all day just because it’s “free” (nothing is free, you’ve paid for it somewhere).

They also found it was unfair to make everyone in same cabin purchase the same drinks package which is quite common with other cruise lines. If you have someone who is tee-total, they’re forced to have an all-inclusive drinks package because their partner wants one.

Compared to a lot of other cruise lines, Virgin Voyages offers a great range of basic drinks all part of your cruise. Soda, still & sparkling water are all included which you’d usually need to buy a soft drinks package on most other cruise lines. It’s great that you don’t have to pay extra to stay hydrated – your skin will thank you too!

Virgin have priced their drinks around the same or lower than going to a decent bar or restaurant in somewhere like New York, Paris or London. Around $7-9 for a beer, $9-15 for a cocktail and nearly half their wines are under $10 for a glass.

YES! The only way for NHS staff to get a discount code for Virgin Voyages is to join The Rock The Boat Sailing Club. It's free and takes less than 25 seconds.

The Sailing Clubs gives NHS employees discount on Virgin Voyages, plus tons of other cool offers too - just for NHS staff like you.

A bar tab allows our Sailors to order whatever drinks they feel like ordering – no restrictions or limitations! Plus, you can use your bar tab as many times as you want during your voyage, no need to worry about running out of drinks before the end of your trip.

And that’s not all! As Richard Branson says: “Life should be extraordinary. And so should a cruise with Virgin Voyages. That’s why we go above and beyond to make sure you experience something totally different when you sail with us.” Onboard, Virgin Voyages offers a range of unique cocktails and drinks crafted by our talented bartenders. So there is no need for an all-inclusive drinks package – let your imagination run wild as you explore the diverse selection of flavours.

Cruising with Virgin Voyages is an extraordinary experience, and it’s made even better by the fact that you don’t have to purchase an all-inclusive drinks package.
